Create a file named "Edit in IXT.lua" in "C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Scripts".Ģ. In the help file, the suggested communication path between Lightroom and IXT (external editing) is not ideal because it uses a TIFF intermediary file. The user should have the opportunity to change some parameters and then launch the conversion process. So, once the file has been selected, IXT should not immediately convert. But if IXT is not already running, I can't change the settings before the conversion process is launched. This is OK but what if I want to change the conversion settings before submitting the file to IXT ? If IXT is already running, I can do that before running the script again. I can then import the generated DNG into the Lightroom catalog. When launched with a filename on the command line, IXT immediately converts the target file with its current settings (the current settings are the last used settings).ģ. I have created a LUA script that allows me to send the RAF file directly to Iridient X-Transformer.exe from Lightroom.Ģ. However, there's something wrong with the user interface that should be fixed, IMHO. I have started to evaluate IXT and I'm very satisfied with the results. Here is the report I have just sent to the Iridient support : I should add the LR CC image is with default sharpening (25) and colour noise reduction There is a borderline suggestion of artifacts in some of the high frequency detail, such as the "red mesh net" on white background in upper right but otherwise it looks pretty damn good to me. The image is a simple jpeg screen capture.

No fancy comparison here - just open the original RAF in Iridient XT, import into LR with nil sharpening (in LR) and all Iridient settings at default (i.e. Here is a 100% comparison crop of the familiar old DPR test image, including most of the bits ACR struggles with and - to quote a poster on another forum - it's like someone has wiped the vaseline off the lens and dead easy to insert into current familiar LR workflow. I just tried Brian's new X-Transformer on a copy of the old DPR test image that I have tried each new demosaicing candidate on and each new iteration of adobe camera raw/lightroom over the years and first impression is Wow! This looks very promising indeed.
